National Instrument's VI Manual

The HP Visualize Workstation is one of the most robust and reliable computers HP has ever made, and may have been the last. It is perfect for data acquisition and control using different cards operating under LabView.

Many data acquisition cards interface through the outside world via dedicated interfaces like this. The cable connects to the card in the PC and uses standard connectors for sensor interface.

This card will plug into the PC's expansion slot and be controlled through VI's running in LabView. Most cards come with drivers to interface with the OS on the PC; if not, one should be wary, especially if it is a weird card.

A simple VI that will generate a waveform.

More to come!
